At the moment there is an exhibition at The National Museum in Copenhagen. They have gathered the best Scandinavia has to offer from Viking age, gold, silver, weapons and other things. The only complete bow from Viking age is exhibited, The Bow from Haithabu. After November 17th the exhibition moves to London. I found it very interesting and well worth seeing.

Simple bow but effective. Love the arrows and they are reasonbly long. Would love closer pics of the bow and arrows, especially the arrow heads

Re: Viking exhibition

I took a pic of the ends of the origional, only a sidenock on the upper end and the bowstring have been tied to the lower end. The bow was made from a small tree, the marrow is visible on the belly side.
