 Re: Victorian? arrows
I have now found out from my back numbers of the journal that these are Alexandra arrows (thanks to an article by Hugh Soar). But I still dont know the maker, there are arrows that look identical on the Grayson site and they are by Highfield. Does anyone know how they marked their arrows, the marking on mine is not clear but it could be A T H-- only the A is clearly marked.

 Re: Victorian? arrows
Ron - you are quite right, they are Alexandra arrows and Philip Highfield was one maker who produced these. Another maker was Thomas Aldred
I cannot say who the maker of yours might be, it seems that they were never popular enough that all fletchers made them. The initials may have been those of the owner. Are they stamped in or written in Indian ink ? If the latter then these are almost certainly owners initials

 Re: Victorian? arrows
As these are marked Dr. Croft's, they are the original Alexandra Arows, sometimes known as Gomez Arrows. There are several references to them in the early (1964) Archer's Register and some correspondence, not altogether flattering in the 'Field Sporting Newspaper'. I have been trying for years to acquire an example for research purposes but have not so far been lucky. I therefore envy you your find.
