Post Archery Token World's Fair 1934.
I've just bought a socalled token (coin) from the World's Fair in Chicago 1934. On the front is an archer (native american?) and the words "Real Sportmanship is Fair Play", on the other side "Remember Clean Living Pays" and "Sport Show World's Fair 1934 Chicago". And in the middle the signature of Art Young.
Was he present at the show and if so, what did he do?

How interesting Ole. I cannot answer your question about Art I am afraid.

I must tell you that at the moment the SAA website and forum are being moved to a new Host and your post will probably have been "left behind" on the "old" one. When all is well I will contact forum members and you may find you have to re-post this

Hi Ole, Perhaps I can help. Wade Phillips under his post "Art Young's Signature on Items" [dated Thu Feb 11, 2010] found on "TradRag.com" under their section "History of Archery", which is located under the subset of Traditional Archery on this forum posted a picture of the token [both sides]. He noted in his post that Art Young gave these tokens to those who visited his archery exhibition during the 1934 Chicago World's Fair. Wade also stated that "Items with Art Young's famous signature are considered real treasures by today's archery memorabilia collectors."

It sounds like you have a very special item. Nice work!
