Post Elderly Medieval archers.
This is a query posed by an interested researcher. Knowledgeable comments requested please.

"I am writing to you in your capacity of Honorary Secretary to the Society of Archer Antiquities. I am currently carrying out some research into ageing as a Roman soldier and I have come across the case of Tiberius Iulius Abdes Pantera, an archer still serving at the age of sixty-two according to his epitaph. Somebody mentioned to me that they'd vaguely heard stories of medieval archers who faced difficulty in old age due to injuries contracted from regular use of the bow (i.e. not simply from injury in war) and I was hoping to look into this as a comparative study. In your own research, have you or any of the Society's members come across anything along those lines?

Any help you can offer really would be gratefully received"

Any suggestions ?.
